It's a gift tag, tree ornament and a gift card holder. All three are wonderful gifts...here's how you combine them for a festive Christmas gift.
#8 Kraft Tags (6 1/4" x 3 1/8")
I created the blue background using inks, paints, water and watercolor paper--so fun!
Background:
- Apply several hues of paint and blue ink to a craft sheet, mist with water then drag a panel of watercolor paper through the colors in one direction.
- Use a heat tool to dry the paper completely, repeat the dragging or dab the paper into the desired colors remaining on the craft sheet if you want more color. Dry again. (it's hard to stop after only a few passes so keep going if you like what you are getting--just dry between each layer of color or you will get "mud")
- Trim your completely dry "one-of-a-kind masterpiece" background panel to appropriate layering measurements for your tag. Stamp Peace Collage onto blue background with black ink, "rough up" or distress all edges with scissor blade, adhere all layers onto kraft tag.
- Adhere Snowflake Sprig and Forest Bird die cuts, add crystal gemstones throughout the design.
And now for the gift card pocket...on the reverse side of the tag! Simply layer papers, stamp To/From onto top layer, apply adhesive to 3 sides of the layers to create a pocket for slipping in gift card. How easy!
So when you want to give a gift card to someone special; make it special, make a beautiful tag as part of the gift.
Happy Friday!
