Happy Sunday everyone! It is such a beautiful weekend, and I am definitely feeling "summery." I thought it would be a good time to share a beach card I made with the new Costal Crab die (98988).
To make the card, I took some white cardstock, placed the Texture Wave stencil (88520) on top and sponged four shades of blue Distress Ink through the stencil (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire). I then splattered the inks with water to blend them and to give them a mottled water look.
Next, I cut out the crabs with Holly Berry cardstock and edged them with some Vintage Photo Distress ink. Here is a photo of the before and after with the crabs:
Both crabs are cut from the same red paper, but you can see the difference you get when you edge one with brown ink.
For my netting, I used this:
Yep. That is the bag around some clementines I had in the fridge. I just cut off a bit and taped it to my card.
Here is a close up of the crabs and netting so that you can see the texture the plastic adds to the card:
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
