I have been playing with watercolors a lot lately, so I thought I would post a card using watercolor paper, watercolors, and some salt.
For this technique, I spritzed some watercolor paper with water and then applied several shades of blue watercolors to the paper. While the paint was still wet, I sprinkled the paper with some salt. Here is a picture of what the paper looked like wet:
The salt will move the paint around and give your paper a speckled look. Use chunkier salt to get larger spots. Regular table salt gives a very subtle dotted look. Once the paper dried, I brushed off the salt and added some die cut butterflies I coated in Tumbled Glass Distress Glitter.
