Good morning Memory Box fans! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and some glorious summer weather to match. The summer flowers in the garden are finally beginning to bloom and look and smell so wonderful. Of course, I love me some color and today's card is definitely on the colorful side!
I've used the Thanks Cloud 98875 cut out of acetate and the word "Thanks" cut from watercolor paper using the same colors as the background. I wanted to use the cloud but wanted the watercolored background (done with Twinkling H2Os) to show through. The acetate was great as it gave the texture and shape to the design. Just a little tip: You don't have to "buy" acetate separately from the store---I saved my inserts from the loads of stamp sets I've purchased over the years and voila...usable acetate!
I embossed the stamp Meadow Flowers with white embossing powder prior to watercoloring so a resisted effect was created.
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
