Greetings everyone. Peerless watercolors seem to be all the rage, and I thought they worked really well with the Memoory Box Triangle Tree (F1995). There is a large and small version of the Triangle Tree, and both work well when you let colors blend over the various triangles. Remember, any watercolors would work with this technique. Peerless just tend to give you vibrant colors and are easy to blend.
Instructions:
- Stamp tree onto 140lb watercolor paper with Versamark ink
- Emboss tree with black embossing powder
- Wet the tree with water and then paint it with an assortment of Peerless watercolors
- Let paint dry and cut out tree with scissors.
- Emboss white paper with Memory Box snowflake stencil (Flurry Frame 88579). Did you know you can emboss paper with a plastic stencil?
- Here is the sandwich order to go through the Big Shot die cut machine:
- Multipurpose Platform opened to Tab 1
- Big Shot Plastic Plate
- Plastic stencil
- Paper (front of paper facing down onto stencil)
- Rubber Mat used for embossing
- Big Shot Plastic Plate
- Stamp saying onto card with green ink
- Layer the pieces of the card
- Pop up tree with foam tape.
I absolutely love embossing the Flurry Frame stencil on cards because it gives you snowflakes on the edges but leaves you space in the center for stamping. Here is a close up of the stencil frame so that you can see more of the detail:

If you remember, I made a video showing you how to emboss paper using a plastic stencil. I you didn't see that video, you can see it here- http://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/2014/05/embossing-with-stencils.html
