Happy Monday morning Memory Box Fans! I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the week.
The kids are out of school so summer has officially begun. Congratulations to all those who are, or have family members that are, graduating. The world is full of limitless possibilities, and I hope everyone fulfills their dreams.
I love me some Distress Inks and the new colors are right up my alley of bright and bold! Combine DIs with Memory Box and life is good. The background colors were done using the sponge blending tool and creating a smooth blend. The colors were Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed. I used the Memory Box Stencil Dot Grid with the DIs to create patterns.
The butterflies were cut with the Cascadia Butterfly trio. Two were used on the front of the card and the larger one was used on the inside.
Embossing the dies can add another dimension to your design and get more use from your dies! I embossed the Reverse Butterfly Collage and placed it so it would run off the top edge of the panel. Perfect Pearls adds perfect shimmer to a project and oh so easy to use. I reinked just the butterflies with the DIs and then apply some silvery Perfect Pearls so the butterflies were shimmery.
The sentiment was created use the die set All About Love. I cut the "Love" directly from the panel, then cut "Love" again with pink paper. I inlaid the pink paper into the cut on the panel and the slightly offset the die cut made from the panel on top of the pink "love." The remainder of the sentiment was used with the clear stamp set called Words to Live By.
