Congrats to all of the Holiday Blitz prizewinners - enjoy your wonderful dies! Jean Okimoto here today with some soft pretty colors - and a bit of sparkle for you. I love the new Blooming Poppies Die - here's just a portion of it. I'll use the other beautiful, delicate section on another card.
- NEW Blooming Poppies Die 99223
- NEW Sketchbook Imagine Die 99253
- NEW Open Studio Pinpoint Rectangle Layers Die Set 30065
- Open Studio Stitched Country Border Dies Set 30042
- Cherry Blossom and Granny Smith Notecards (for diecutting)
- Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz
Paint watercolor paper with overlapping shades of pink, blue, green, teal and yellow Peerless Watercolors. Air-dry it. Spritz it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz and air-dry it again.
Cut it with a Pinpoint Rectangle Layer. Cut the left portion of the Blooming Poppies from Cherry Blossom - leave a ½" wide border at the bottom. Trim the border with the scalloped Country Border die.
Cut "imagine" from Granny Smith - leave in it the die. Attach ¼" wide Scor-Tape horizontally across the back of the diecut and cut it again to cut the adhesive.
Attach the pieces to a top-folded A-2 card of white cardstock. Attach a clear mini-sequin over the first "i" in "imagine." Attach pale pink sequins. Coordinate the card with a matching Cherry Blossom Envelope.
Spring seems to have come and gone so quickly this year...remember all of the great dies and stamps from the Spring Release in April? They're featured - along with favorites from the January release - in the July Look Book. I'm thrilled/happy/excited to share my just-released Look Book with you today! I hope you like it - actually, I hope you love it.
Thanks Dave - and everyone at Memory Box - for your great editing and photography - and for inviting me to share my ideas with everyone. I love the cool, quirky titles you gave each card too.
Special thanks to everyone who took the Holidays with Memory Box Class at Impress last week - I loved designing cards with the new release and hope you enjoyed the class! I'll be teaching the class again at 1:30 on August 29, after the new Cool Winter Wishes class at 10:30 that day.
Thanks for stopping by - see you again on Saturday!
