The Valentine stamps and papers are just lovely. I don't know about you but I have a hard time coming up with a Valentine idea for my husband every year that is masculine. For this card I combined a stamp from one of last year's releases with new Valentine Delights stamps and papers. I love how Memory Box collections coordinate so well together.
Ingredients:
- Cream Soiree note card
- Pixie 6x6 Paper pack
- F1439Heart Bird Keepsake
- B1424 Valentines Duo
- D1360 Budding Branch
- Shrink Plastic
- Stazon Timber Brown Ink
- Color Box Alabaster Ink
For this card I stamped F1439 Heart Bird Keepsake with Timber Brown Stazon onto shrink plastic. Cut out the image and smoosh Alabaster chalk ink directly from the ink pad onto the reverse side of the heart. Next take a sponge and smooth out the lines. Shrink the heart according to package directions. Stamp B1424 Valentines Duo with dark brown ink in the bottom right corner of a Soiree cream notecard. Can you see the texture on the notecard? When you're making a clean and simple card little details like the texture on the paper make a big difference. Next score a line just above the stamped sentiment and a little more than a quarter inch above the first scored line. Cut a strip of Pixie 6x6 patterned paper to fit the scored area. Stamp D1360 Budding Branch on the left with dark brown ink. (I just used the Timber Brown Stazon that was already out.) Attach the shrink plastic heart charm, and you're finished. Pretty easy, but I think it works. What do you think does it look masculine to you?
Hope your holidays were everything you hoped for. Happy Stamping!
