Hello everyone!
It's kind of unusual for me to create a card using only one stamp set, with no dies or popping anything up with foam tape. It was my muse who said, "Go one-dimensional for a change!" There's really no limit to all the many ways this set can be used ... as you've seen from the beautiful cards already presented by my fellow design team members! And I love all the sentiments that come in the set, not to mention the matching set of dies.
I decided to "hang" the lilac stamp for a little different look, although it would have worked just as well the other way. If you turn the card upside down, you'll see what I mean! I stamped it twice with Versamark ink onto purple card stock cut to 3.75" x 5.5", then embossed the images with white embossing powder. I added three more single flowers in the same way. Using diluted white acrylic paint, I colored in all of the flower petals. I applied Peeled Paint distress ink onto an acrylic block and picked up the ink with a wet paint brush to color the leaves and empty spaces.
I inked the sentiment with Versamark ink and stamped it as shown, embossing it with white embossing powder. I then used the same diluted white paint to splatter the background. I finished the card by adding clear glitter to the flower centers. I adhered this piece to a piece of darker purple card stock, cut just slightly larger, then adhered that to an A2 white card base.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by today!
