Something old, something new...the classic favorite Brand New Bicycle, Mini Butterflies, Rectangle Basics and Distress Oxides meet up on a quick card tonight. The greeting - from the new Spring Lilacs Clear Stamp Set - makes it perfect for a special grad!
Hi, Jean Okimoto here, with another simple diecut design on a background of spritzed, smushed Distress Oxides. The bicycle was one of my very first Memory Box dies. I love how it still complements new designs and greetings and is always ready for another summer card. What's your favorite Memory Box die?
Press Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio inks onto separate areas of an acrylic block that's larger than 2-3/4" x 4". Spritz it lightly with water. Press watercolor paper onto the diluted inks. Drag and lift the paper off the block. Let the inks airdry for a few minutes, the heat-set it.
Cut it with the 2-3/4" x 4" Rectangle Basics die. Cut blue cardstock with the 3" x 4-1/4" Rectangle Basics die.
Cut Brand New Bicycle from dark gray metallic cardstock. Cut Mini Butterflies from white glittered cardstock.
Score, cut and fold a 5-1/2" square card of watercolor paper - keep the smoother side of the paper on the outside of the card. Stamp the greeting with Worn Lipstick and heat-set it.
Assemble the card. Attach blue gem stickers.
Thanks for stopping by again - and be sure to return for Penny's great design tomorrow!
