Greetings friends. We have been showing you a lot of Christmas/seasonal cards lately, but we wanted to take this week to highlight Halloween cards using the latest Memory Box release. There will be lots of new ideas as well as chances to win prizes, so be sure to join us each day from September 18th- September 22nd.
For my card today, I created a Halloween scene using some of the latest dies. The Curved Stitch Hilltops that I used to create the ground coordinates with the Curved Picket Fence, so it is easy to create a backdrop landscape. To decorate the scene, I added some Stitched Farm Pumpkins as well as the Whimsy Mummy. I really like the mummy because when you run him through the die cut machine, you get the impressions of all the wrapped bandages for extra dimension.
To create the background, I used the Stitched Rectangle Trimmings to make a frame for the scene and added a "moon" from the Studio Circles Layers and added the Whimsy Bat on top. The moon was cut out of cream paper and then edged with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Here is a close up of the card so that you can see that the bat and one of the pumpkins is popped up with foam tape:
