Swirling Ghosts are back again - floating through the Grove Collage this time. Two Playful Boos create a drop-shadow effect - and snack-size Kit Kats make it officially Halloween.
Hi, Jean Okimoto here today, with another combo of iconic designs from several collections. I love how everything works together, and gives a whole new look to something "old." This fast-paced papercrafts industry considers something old after a year, or even just a few months.
Cut the 2.75" x 4" Wrapped Stitch Rectangle from dark kraft cardstock. Cut it again with the Grove Collage. Cut a portion of a Persimmon Notecard with the 2.5" x 3.75" Rectangle Basics die. These three dies are a perfect fit, there's no need to measure or trim anything - thanks Dave!
Cut Swirling Ghosts from watercolor paper. Save the big guy for another project. Wondering why the Clutch of Eggs set was included in the picture? It's the easiest way to cut black cardstock to fit behind the ghosts for their eyes! That's an extreme example of getting the most from your supplies - but it works perfectly.
Cut Playful Boo from a scrap of Persimmon, and again from dark kraft cardstock. Layer them for a cool effect.
Attach the diecuts to a Licorice Notecard - use foam dots at the top of the ghosts so they'll look like they're floating out of the trees. Add the tiny sequins from the Birch Press Not So Heavy Metal sequins set. Birch Press Design is an online shop - owned by Memory Box owners Dave and Monica Brethauer - featuring upscale, trendy home products, gifts, stationary and craft products. View their entire new Sequins Collection too!
Sad news...couldn't find any snack-size Heath Bars for my Halloween posts this year. Found these triple-chocolate Kit Kats instead. Would you believe that I bought them only because they matched this card and looked pretty? Oh, sure. I'll also be using them for my treats wrapper in the BOO! class at Impress on October 14th.
Thanks for stopping by - see you again later this week!
