Greetings friends. I don't know about you, but this time of year I need a lot of thank you cards. I have been freezing lately, so I really wanted to make some Spring-themed cards instead of cold, wintery cards. My cards became thank you cards, but they could have just as easily become cards for other occasions.
For my post today, I wanted to share a trio of cards I made using the new Cheery Flower Collage die. It is a floral circle window die, and I used the exact same layout for each card. I simply changed the color of the Distress Oxide inks I used for the backgrounds. I started each background with scraps of smooth 80lb white cardstock and sponged three colors of ink on top before splattering each background with water to create a splotchy look. To finish each of the cards, I added a stitched circle frame around the floral window. I thought the stitches added a nice embellishment to the card. As a finishing touch, I added a sentiment from the Sentimental Iris clear set.
Distress Oxide Inks used- Fossilized Amber, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans. Sentiment- Versafine Deep Lagoon
Distress Oxide Inks used- Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Seedless Preserves. Sentiment- Versafine Satin Red
Distress Oxide Inks used- Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet. Sentiment- Spanish Moss
The last thing I added to the card was mini epoxy stickers to the center of each of the flowers.
I hope everyone is staying warm!
