A watercolored background sets the scene for a quick Valentine with Have a Heart Clear Stamps and You Jotted Script. Splashy dots (splots?) of Starlite Silver and gem stickers balance the brightness and add a bit of sparkle.
Hi - Jean Okimoto here - hope you have a few minutes for one more Valentine card today.
Diecut smooth white cardstock with the 2-¾" x 4" Wrapped Stitch Rectangle die. It's my favorite go-to die for great backgrounds and layers. I cut several rectangles to make a few extra backgrounds for future projects.
Press the vibrant inks of the Desert Heat Kaleidacolor inkpad onto a big acrylic stamp block. Paint random, overlapping strips of diluted colors with a ¾" wide flat brush. Air-dry the inks for a few minutes, then heat-set them from both sides to minimize curling. If the dried cardstock is still a little wonky, place it between sheets of printer paper and run it through a diecut machine between the cutting plates.
Stamp the large solid heart - from the Have a Heart Clear Stamp Set - with Glamorous VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink, then stamp the lined heart (slightly offset) with Nocturne VersaFine Clair.
Stamp the little dots from the Bird Sanctuary Clear Stamp Set with Starlite Black Brilliance. Rotate the stamp, re-ink it and stamp it again.
Diecut You Jotted Script from white cardstock and charcoal glittered cardstock.
Attach everything to a top-folded white A-2 card. Add silver gem stickers.
Hope we've inspired you to create some very special Valentines - and a few extra cards for other special moments throughout the year.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend - see you again on Wednesday!
