Today I have a birthday card with lots of pretty layers using coordinating papers from the Garden Folly 6 X 6 paper pad, the Chrysanthemum Field embossing folder, and several dies from the Garden Party Collection.
I started with choosing papers from the GARDEN FOLLY PAPER PAD PP1005. I selected a narrow stripe to use with the Spring 2020 CHRYSANTHEMUM FIELD EMBOSSING FOLDER EF 1001.
I used a sanding block over the raised images to add even more distress and expose more of the white under layer.
I trimmed that piece to 5 X 4 1/4 and adhered it to a white notecard. I then cut some coordinating papers into flags--1 1/2 X 5 and 1 X 4 with vees snipped on the bottom edges--to use with a piece of white paper doily on the card front.
Next I made the layered square card piece with a white 2 1/2" square on the bottom and the successive squares each smaller by 1/4". I stamped "happy birthday to you" from the BEST LIFE TYPEWRITER SENTIMENTS clear stamp set CL5237 in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on the center white square after cutting the words apart to fit on a small square acrylic block. I added the smallest of the BUBBLE CIRCLES 94439 (cut from a scrap of the striped paper) around the sentiment and also included a white cardstock GIULIA BORDE R 94411 on the left edge.
On the inside, I added a piece of Garden Folly paper 5 1/4 X 4 and a white rectangle 4 3/4 X 3 1/2. I cut two candles from more of the striped paper using the TALL BIRTHDAY CANDLES die 94395 and added those on the bottom left.
Another look at the finished card...
