Wow....this heat...! It's just the beginning of June and it already feels like the lazy hazy days of summer. Gotta love the midwest "heat index"!
When I sat down to play with my stamps yesterday I thought of summers as a kid. We didn't have a lot but we had a lot of fun. Sundays were always spent at my grandma's on the farm. We'd either play in the woods, go fishing, play in the creek, or go swimming in the farm pond. Which in hind sight was really quite gross and disgusting. But we loved it none the less. I think my grandma had 29 grandkids so it was craziness and mayhem all the time!
That brings me to my card. This card features On the Lake F1770. It's one of my favorite stamps because you can use so many mediums to color it....Copics, watercolor pencils, Twinkling H2O's, Prismacolor pencils..
I chose to color the image with Twinkling H2O's on cold-press watercolor paper.
Twinkling H2O's used:
- Sky: Blue Ice
- Water: Rich Cobalt (with lots of water)
- Grass: Sunflower, Key Lime and Forest Green
- Tree trunk: Burnt Umber
- Leaves: Key Lime and Wild Vine
- Boat: Oyster and Hot Cinnamon
The card is 5 X 5 Kraft card stock layered with River Dance and Licorice paper. Hope you enjoy!
