I have noticed On the Lake F177 has been used quite a bit again. I am sure it is the feeling of summer it evokes.
While most families went "down the shore", when I was growing up we went to the mountains. I remember a cottage on a lake in place call Green Acres. There were always row boats. My brother and I would get up early and take our fishing rods to "bring home breakfast". All we ever brought home were bug bites and sunburn!
For my dad it was all about the serenity of the mountains, the gentle waves on the lake and spending time with his family.
I was in a hobby store browsing and came upon a sheet of balsa wood and immediately this card formed in my mind. I stamped with Momentos Tuxedo black and used my copic markers to color the image in with. Just be aware that the copics will bleed on the wood so stop coloring before you reach the line.
While I now spend most of my vacations "down the shore", I still go to the mountains for a the serenity and opportunity to recharge my batteries.
