Our newest release - Under the Sea - is a mix of nautical, seashore, background and contemporary designs for spring-into-summer projects. There are embossing folders, woodgrain cardstock, and a rainbow of adhesive jewels - and some guy-card designs perfect for Father's Day, grads and birthdays too. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a Grand Tulip Shell design that's watercolored, spritzed, pressure- and heat-embossed to create layers of color and shimmer.
Found a piece of watercolored paper in my stash - it's painted with diluted layers of dye inks from the Vineyard Kaleidacolor inkpad and spritzed with Imagine's Grape Jelly Fireworks . Dry the ink, then cut it with the Grand Tulip Shell background. Spritz both sides of the paper with a light mist of water. Pressure-emboss it with the detailed Grand Tulip Shell die using the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine.
Use the detailed die as a stencil and sponge the embossed areas with VersaMark. Heat-emboss it with Imagine's Iridescent embossing powder. Clean the die with a damp washcloth.
Cut the detailed shell from the gold sheet in the Polished Foil pad. Layer it over the embossed background/
Cut the light lavender Twilight Purple 6x6 sheet with the largest Rectangle Basics die. Spray it with a very light mist of water, then pressure-emboss it.
Stamp the greeting - from the All the Happiness clear stamps and die set - on a different shade of lavender from the Twilight Purple 6x6 Collection with Spanish Moss VersaFine Clair.
Use a corner rounder punch to trim the Blooming embossed sheet. Round the corners of a top-folded white A-2 card. Attach the embossed cardstock. Add the greeting (trimmed with the corner rounder), shell (use foam tape) and tiny pale green jewel stickers.
