This month's challenge is to use paint in some way and I just got a new box of Kuretake watercolors. So...
I started with Memory Box watercolor paper, a cup of water, my favorite brushes, and the Kuretake watercolor paints.
I used the GRAND SPIRAL SHELL 94567 dies and cut the painted paper with the detailed shell design. I then looked through the cardstock papers in the BERRY RED COLLECTION SP1001 and chose a color for cutting the solid shell.
My next step was to choose a piece of foil paper from the POLISHED FOIL PAD FP1001 and emboss it using the WAVES EMBOSSING FOLDER EF1013.
To assemble the card
- I added another paper from the Berry Red Collection cut to cover the front of a white notecard.
- I used Scor-Tape to attach the foil waves paper which I had cut to 4 X 5 1/4.
- I used a Glue Pen to bond the detailed shell outline to the solid piece and then secured it to the foil layer with more Scor-Tape.
This card can be oriented as a side-fold or top-fold card. And once I decide how to use it I can add a sentiment to the front or the inside.
And because I couldn't make just one...
I hope you love the new Under the Sea Collection as much as I do. That Waves embossing folder! All those beautiful shells! Sea creatures! And more!!!
Happy Crafting!
