This card I had a ton of fun making. It used techniques and mediums I haven't used for awhile.

I started by inking an acrylic block with scattered straw and spiced marmalade distress ink. I spritzed it with water and stamp onto watercolor paper. You can let this dry naturally, but if you are the impatient stamper I am you can quicken the drying by using a heat tool.

I stamped pear sketch trio C1796 with waterproof black die ink. Using my watercolor pencils ( yeah!! I know I actually put my copics away for the day!) I colored the pears and blended the colors with a paintbrush.

I tied a piece of twine around the card and layered this onto kraft paper that had 2 embossed strips. I thought about adding a saying but I really liked it just as it is.

The lesson of this card- it is not always about the newest coloring agent or technique. Go back to what was once new.
