Love over the rainbow!

I've been having a lot of fun with this new die, Heart Chain Border (98277).

For some reason, my first thought was to cut several strips, then cut the strips into smaller sections. I also had a vision of coloring the hearts in a rainbow fashion. Here's what I came up with:

I started with an eggshell card that I cut from the Catillion die (98245)

to add some interest to the card base.  Using the Classic Flourish image and Spun Sugar Distress ink, I stamped some color in three of the corners. I used shimmering pastel chalks to give the rainbow effect on the heart strips, then I cut them into smaller sections before adhering them to the card in rows.  I tied lavendar Divine Twine at the top and added a small tag from the Pastry Labels die set (98107).

On the tag I stamped LOVE from the Love and Hearts image (B1423) with Victorian Rose Distress ink. Lastly, I added a small gold heart brad to the tag. The tag hangs loosely over the front, but you could secure it with foam tape if you prefer.

Another fun thing I discovered is the Heart Chain Border fits nicely through the label in the Pastry set above - like a ribbon slide. Check this out:

It's a little hard to see, but notice the texture on the hearts? I sent the strip of hearts through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed ink over the top to highlight the raised areas. Just another twist for your Heart Chain Border die. This one simple die can lead to many interesting projects!

Happy crafting!
