When I received the new amazing Viola papers from Dave, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them! The purples in the paper pack match my Texas Mountain Laurel photos perfectly. So, I decided it was time to scrap these beautiful photos. We had been waiting for a long time for this tree to bloom, and when it did, wow! It can take years for this tree to bloom, and it had been! Here is how my 8x8 layout turned out with the new Viola papers:
Papers: Memory Box Viola, Paper Trey Ink cs
Stamps: Memory Box Leafy Branch Globe E1850
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink dusty concord
Embellishments: Memory Box blank ticket die, Tim Holtz mini paper clip, Lyra apple green colored pencil, Basic Grey Kioshi chipboard letters, Craftworkcard Candi greenwich village, vintage Flinch card, misc. ribbon, Zva Creative flourish, sewing machine
To create the layout, I first layered a piece of 12x12 Viola Wildbloom paper for the back of the layout. I then layered 3 different pieces of Viola paper from the Viola 6x6 paper pack. Aren't the papers pretty? I then layered my photos and a journaling circle. I made the journaling circle out of the new Memory Box Leafy Branch Globe E1850 stamp. I stamped the image in Distress Ink dusty concord, colored in the leaves with my Lyra apple green colored pencil, and then added my journaling. I also used my sewing machine to sew on a ribbon tab for fun. The black tab on the left side I made out of the Memory Box blank ticket die. It make a fun tab! And finally I added some fun embellishments to finish!
