The seasons are a changin' --even in Southern California. Last night was more than brisk...it's was downright cold. But that cold air is what makes the leaves turn a beautiful array of Fall colors. That is the inspiration for this card.
The Brilliant Maple (F1402) was inked using Tsukineko's Coffee Bean, Rocket Red Gold, Pumpkin Spice and Sage and stamped "off the paper". I then paired patterned and solid Memory Box papers to coordinate with the ink hues. The Rocket Red Gold has a metallic sheen that sparkles and shines giving the Maple it's brilliance. There are several trees in my neighborhood whose leaves are blazing with color!
I added the die cut Maple leaves in the corner to serve as a background for the message "Wishing you a Happy Fall" (B1420). They are Spellbinders dies from their Fall leaves set---they even have embossed veins on the leaves.
I also used Ranger Distress inks (Fall colors --Scattered Straw, Bundled Sage and Barn Door) on the background to add overall warmth to the card--sort of a butterscotch feel. I tried to coordinate the stamps papers and inks to create a festive Fall card---hope you like it!
Happy Friday! Take some time to create this weekend and throw another log on the fire.
