I love poinsettias.  There is nothing more beautiful than the array of poinsettias at the store in different sizes and color variations. They are just beautiful especially when the weather is so cold nothing is growing or blooming here. :)

The Believe Poinsettia Collage (G1421) stamp has a beautiful poinsettia and I decided to make it the focal point of my card.

Recipe:

  1. Cut 3 1/4" circle in white and 3 1/2" circle in Truffle cardstock. (Love this cardstock and it is one of my go to supplies. :)
  2. Stamp G1411 Peace Collage multiple times on white cardstock using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink to create background.
  3. Sponge edges and center of circle using Versafine Toffee and sponge dauber.
  4. Stamp Believe Poinsettia Collage G1421 two times on white cardstock. Color using watercolor pencils and aqua brush. I sponged the leaves and stem using my dauber and brown dye ink.
  5. Cut out the flowers and the stem. I actually cut the stem off and re-attached when I placed it on my card.
  6. To add a sheen and enhance your colors.. Cover flowers with versamark watermark ink and heat emboss using clear embossing powder. Repeat if desired to give more coverage.
  7. Attach stem and flower to circle. Pop dot slightly the center piece and attach to center of flower.
  8. Cut Mistletoe PP 4" x 4".
  9. Cut card base 2 5 1/2" x  5 1/2" pieces of  Truffle cardstock.
  10. Stamp Renaissance Tile G1404 multiple times along right side of card front using Versafine Vintage Sepia. (I don't think this shows up in the picture but it adds a nice texture to your card)
  11. Cut Rhubarb Tart PP 5 1/2" x 2 3/4". Attach to front of card.
  12. Tie gold sheer ribbon in bow on card front.
  13. Layer pieces together.
  14. Stamp Heaven Sings B1385 on white cardstock. Trim and mount on brown cardstock.
  15. Accent with fun buttons in coordinating colors.
  16. Score back of card at 1/4" and run tape along the top and attach to front of card.

Hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Suzz
