Hi everyone! It's good to be back here on the blog! I have two cards to share with you today, using only two dies and one stencil ... oh, and one word stamp.
I began by sponging Shabby Shutters ink through the Cursive Merry stencil onto a quarter sheet of white card stock. I then die cut the Beaded Dress die from the stenciled piece. I added tiny red gemstones to all of the holes on the dress. I die cut the Blissful Bundle from dark green card stock, and after snipping away all but the center holly and sprigs, I added some larger beads for the berries, and mounted that to the dress with foam tape as shown. I cut a layer from the Rectangle Layers set, stamped the word "Celebrate" on the upper right, and after adding gemstones as shown, I mounted that to the green card base with foam tape. I added foam tape to the back of the dress and mounted that on to the green layer, and that was it! A very easy card to make.
Of course I didn't want the negative of the stenciled piece to go to waste, so I created this card using that piece:
I first embossed the front of the card base with a Swiss dots embossing folder. I cut a 1" x 5.5" piece of dark green card stock, wound some sparkly red twine around it, and adhered it to the left of the card base. I cut the Blissful Bundle die from dark green card stock and positioned it as shown on top of the dress opening, gluing down just the ends of the pieces that touched the dress frame. I added the various sized red gemstones as shown, then mounted that assembled piece to the card front with foam tape. I scattered a few more gemstones on the dress frame.
The Beaded Dress die is so versatile and such a fun die to play with. Hope you enjoyed these cards. As always, thanks for stopping by!
