Greetings friends. I was really excited about the new Lighthouse Collage die because I love anything nautical/beach related. Lighthouses are fun to work with because they can really be used for any occasion.
For today's card, I used both the Lighthouse Collage as the Rolling Wave Collage. The two dies are meant to together as well as separately for extra versatility. The two dies also work with the other Memory Box Open Studio circle dies.
To make the card, I cut out the lighthouse scene out of white cardstock and then colored the rays with a Y04 Copic marker and the lighthouse window parts with Y14 and E53 markers. The die comes with a solid lighthouse part, so I cut that out with black cardstock and then layered it behind the white lighthouse outline.
For the overlaying wave, I cut it from navy cardstock and again in medium blue cardstock and then pieced the two parts together to create a two-toned wave.
Finally, I added a piece of light blue cardstock behind my lighthouse collage, attached a white circle layer and attached a navy circle in the background. Here is a closeup:
I hope everyone has a great day!
