Greetings friends. Today I want to share a card using one of the new 3-D embossing folders as well as new patterned paper and dies.
To make the card, I started by cutting out the two pieces of the Magnolia Double Arch die. I made sure to place the two dies in the shape of a wreath so that I would be able to use the center of the wreath for my card:
I snipped the sides of the wreath that weren't cut so that I was left with just the center. I then cut out the two flower/leaf pieces with green patterned paper:
I glued my flower/leaves around the center piece and added my sentiment to the middle of the circle. To add a bit more interest to the card, I added a layer of my butterfly 3D embossing folder. Look how detailed the folder is:
You can see how puffy parts of the butterfly wings are. I love the detail and dimension you get.
Tips for using a 3-D embossing folder:
Spritz the cardstock lightly with water before running it through the machine.
I use a Big Shot machine with my folder. To run it through the machine, open the base plate to the embossing folder level (bottom layer), place your folder with cardstock in it on top of the base plate, add one of the plastic plates on top.
Hope this helps!
