Treat Holder

Add a month filled with classes to the fact that I can't seem to throw away even the smallest piece of paper and you've got an absurdly overflowing box of scraps!! So I set to work using those scraps.

I had a number of narrow strips from the 12x12 papers that were used in classes. Using those strips and an Accucut box die, I cut a number of treat boxes and decorated them with coordinating ribbons. Here's one of the Christmas themed ones...

Punches and stamps were used to decorate these two Halloween themed ones...

Next is my favorite treat box (so far)!

Again, I used mostly punches and dies with the scrap pieces of paper to create the cover.Check out the fancy black border that was cut from the Frostyville border die!  Punched in black it looks more spooky than sparkly!  Small velcro dots were placed in the bottom corners of the top flap to keep the box closed.

The box cover and pockets were cut from white cardstock and then distressed with black ink. A side view showing the inside pockets...

The pockets expand to hold small bags of candy or wrapped cookies.

Since the pockets are adhered to each other with one strip of adhesive down the center, you don't really need to decorate or embellish any but the front pocket. Paper, ribbon and bat punch and small scallop die for the first pocket...

A spooky web and dangling spider decorate the top flap on the inside..

As I mentioned earlier, this is my favorite treat box so far.  In fact, it's going to be the very first Friday Spark project on September 1, which just happens to be the first day of ONE LITTLE SPARK's Grand Re-opening in it's NEW location!! Needless to say, this has been a super busy July here in NJ!!
