Penguin Fun!

This past weekend I taught a very "cool" class at One Little Spark using a number of Dave's super cute penguin stamps. Here's one of the fun cards we made...

The Ice Cream Penguin (C879) was stamped on a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of white Neenah paper and colored with Copics Y16, BG10 and E33. Sparkle was added to the ice cream with pink and green Spica glitter pens.

A Marvy decorative corner punch was used to create the openings on a 3" x 3" section of green gingham in which the corners of the white section were slipped. White Scrapper's Floss was wrapped around this section three times and tied with a bow.  I used a tiny glue dot to hold the bow in place.

A 3 1/2" x 4" section was cut from Blue Lagoon card stock.  After embossing this using the Swirls Cuttlebug folder, it was lightly sponged with Mango VersaMark chalk ink. Once this layer was complete, the penguin layer was adhered to it.  The Here's the Scoop (B887) sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched out with a slot punch. This was adhered to the embossed layer, which was adhered to a 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" Mango base card.

Here's a little peek at the rest of the penguin cards we made in class...
