PamSparksMolineWreath700

A festive 'merry' card to share today.  I used the Cursive merry die with Wonderful Time Combo stamp and Merry Christmas stamp (just the word Christmas) from the 2014 Holiday release.

I love embossing on vellum... so elegant and classy.  Stamp with Versamark ink and emboss with white embossing powder.

Die cut the Catalina Wreath die from Cranberry and Dill cardstocks. Clip off the Cranberry flowers with a scissors and glue them to the Dill cut.

Some pearls and Lawn Fawn twine and it's done!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Natures Joy Pinecone Frame

Good Morning,  Marnie here using the Pinecone Frame Die and a little Snow and a little tutorial here.

Today we are going to use the New Pinecone Frame - 98971 as a Stencil and airbrush the color in.  First die cut the frame out of a heavy weight cardstock.

Next add some temporary adhesive too the back of the pieces.

I first added the frame with the branch to a blank sheet of paper.  Colors used for the sky are Copic BG90 and BG93.

 Here is the finished sky.

Now add the pinecone piece to the background lining it up with the branch.  Airbrush Copic E43, E44 and E47

I didn't cover the entire pinecone with the each color but from the tips light to dark.  Also airbrush the frame around the piece.

The finished pinecones before I peel up the stencil.

Now use a stylus and the Copic Opaque White to add snow to the points of the pinecones

I have  also added snowy dots as well as the Pine Needle Border 98467.  Nature was cut with Script Lowercase Alphabet 98896 and Joy out of Urban Uppercase Alphabet 98881 both out of Gold Mirror Card.  The entire piece is glued to an Ivory Card Front.

Snowy Evergreens

'Morning Crafty Friends,

Over the last few days I have been watching the news coverage on the tremendous amount of snow falling, especially in Buffalo, NY.  My husband hails from Buffalo and I met some wonderful friends this past summer while visiting family and teaching there--shout out to Buffalo Stamps! Hope Sharon and her crew are holding up well.

So this card is for anyone getting snow right now---we're thinking of you and hoping you stay warm and safe.  And if you're getting "cabin fever" from staying indoors, keep crafting and try to enjoy your creative time!

Here's a clean & simple Christmas card that can be mass produced for all your friends and family.
Snowy Evergreens

On the outside, I inked and embossed theSnowy Evergreens stamp and theMerry Christmas sentiment in white.  I used only dove gray, slate gray, white, black and red paper on this card and layered everything for a fresh, tailored design.

On the inside, more of the same color scheme with white embossing on the Wonderful Timesentiment and the adorable Deer Family...someday I hope to see real live deer in the snow!

I can't believe that next week is Thanksgiving already---for a change of pace my family will be celebrating the day at The San Diego Zoo.  The Zoo is putting on a huge buffet dinner with all the trimmings then we're going to walk it off by exploring the rest of the zoo---kinda different but should be fun. What are your plans?  Cooking at your house?  Going "over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house"?  Let us know, I'd love to hear about your Thanksgiving plans!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Gathered blooms again

IMG_1287

Hi Everyone! here is the second card in my gathered bloom series. I began this series with a straight up use of the stamp.

A2079201473b7a579e8df7_m

No I am going to move into other ways we can use this stamp. I have learned to look at my stamps- well for a lack of a better word- OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!! This way I can get the most use out of them.

Today, I die cut the cosenza tree border background. I then stamped the gathered blooms on each tree and colored them in autumnal colors with my copic markers. Each of the tree dies adhered back into the cardstock they were cut from with foam tape for a popped look.

IMG_1293

When I look at this card, I see the view from my studio window of all the leaves changing colors and am reminded that Thanksgiving is just a week or so away!

Hope you enjoyed this "outside the box" use of gathered blooms. stay tune for my last installment- where I get really crazy!!!

I stamped a stack of small tags using the Simple Wreath stamp D1949 and Hero Arts Forever Green ink.  I will place a few at each place setting with a pen so that everyone can write down the things they are thankful/grateful for before placing each completed tag in the jar.

Maybe this will be the beginning of a new tradition in my home.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!

Catalina Christmas Wreath

Happy Thanksgiving!  Well it is here in the US.  Marnie here!  Today we will spend time with our Families, extended Families and neighbors Giving Thanks and then we stuff ourselves with Turkey and other yummy things.  It's the kick off to our Holiday Season as well and I'm with my Mom's cooking up a storm with the Macy's parade on in the background getting ready to begin work on my Holiday Cards, after the feast and we wash the dishes of course.  So here is an idea for you.

The background for this is the Adornment Stencil 88587 stenciled over Shabby Shutters ink with clear embossing paste on glossy card stock.  Once everything was dry I misted the project and whipped away the green where the embossing paste was not.  I love the affect it looks like grand wallpaper.  Then the Catalina Wreath 98189 was cut from Gold Mirror Card and added to the top of the card.  To dress it up a bit more I added a few glitter domes to it.  The Merry Christmas B2019 is stamped in red ink.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful and Safe Holiday Weekend.  If your not out tomorrow for Black Friday be sure to check back for more fun ideas.   Thanks for stopping by.
