FullSizeRender (4)

Hi everyone!

This week on the blog we are incorporating Imagine Crafts products with Memory Box products. Since it's right before Halloween I have card to share with you.

FullSizeRender (3)

For the background of the card I sponged White cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.  Sprinkle with Gold embossing powder and heat set. Sponging the ink on gives you a subtle texture on the paper. Rub Jet Black StanzOn ink pad over the embossed cardstock. This bring out the embossed texture of the cardstock. Sponge Dusty Concord Distress Ink over the cardstock.  This will fill in any areas that were not embossed.

FullSizeRender (1)

Stamp the Memory Box image with Onyx Black Versafine Ink. Using a sponge dauber add Electric Yellow Radiant Neon ink to the middle of the stamped image. Sponge with Morocco Memento Luxe ink over the rest of the stamped image. Using Dusty Concord Distress Ink sponge the edges of the cardstock. Use Onyx Black ink to darken the edges of the cardstock.

FullSizeRender (8)

Stamp Happy Halloween on a strip of White cardstock.  Ink the edges with Black ink.  I sponged the edges of the white cardstock layers with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink and embossed the edges with Gold embossing powder.  Assemble card as shown.

PamSparksElianaOrnMusic700

Hi everyone! Pam here, jumping in to post this week with some Memory Box and Imagine Crafts goodness!

I started with a Parchment A-2 Notecard for my card base.

I cut another Parchment A-2 Notecard in half and die cut the Musicality collage die in it. (don't worry about keeping any of the pieces, you just want the hole)

I die cut the Musicality Collage die in black glossy card-stock and inlaid it into the cut in the parchment piece.  Doing it this way keeps the lines straight and everything in place. Because I'm mounting it on the same color card-stock, I don't need to inlay all the little pieces. Works slick!  : )  I scotch tape it in place on the back side.

Adhere the Parchment panel to your notecard.

I stamped the sentiment Joyful Combo  with Imagine Crafts Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black Pigment Ink and embossed it with Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing Powder. (I use a stampamajig for stamp placement)

PamSparksElianaOrnMusicClose

I die cut the Poinsettia Bloom Trio die in Cranberry card-stock and covered all the pieces with Imagine Crafts irRESISTible Love Letter Pico Embellisher. It's a glossy color finish that comes with a  fine line applicator.

Add a black pearl in the center of the poinsettia.

I die cut the Elliana Ornament die in White card-stock.  I inked all the pieces with Imagine Crafts Versamark ink and embossed them with multiple coats of Imagine Crafts Black and Sparkle Embossing Powders to get an ornament that 'looks like glass' effect.

I die cut the Ornament Hooks and Caps die in Black glossy card-stock for the cap and from Silver Glitter card-stock for the hook.

Wish I could show it to you IRL!

Here's another card I made because I wanted to use some more inks and spray... as if I hadn't made a big enough mess already! haha

PamSparksSnowflakeStencilPink

I started with an A-2 top folding White card base.

I cut a white card-stock panel and embossed the panel with the new Large Snowflakes Stencil  by running it through my Big Shot. (I show this on a couple videos. Click on the video category on the left.)

Leaving the stencil in place, I adhered it to my desk with removable tape and using Imagine Crafts finger daubers, I inked the snowflakes with Imagine Crafts Memento Luxe Wedding Dress pigment ink.  Remove the stencil and emboss with Imagine Crafts White Embossing Powder.

Using three Imagine Crafts Versacolor square ink pads, Opera Pink, Peony and Raspberry, I rubbed ink over the snowflakes.

Then I sprayed on Imagine Crafts Sparkle Shimmer Spritz and rubbed the inked surface to blend and wipe the ink off the snowflakes.

I die cut the Peace Script die in White card-stock, smeared it with Versacolor Opera Pink ink and embossed it with Imagine Crafts Iridescent Embossing Powder.

I die cut the Pine Border Background die in White card-stock also.  I adhered the Peace Script cut to the trees with little dots of Tombow Mono Multi glue, then sprayed them with the Sparkle Shimmer Spritz and mounted the trees to the card with mounting squares.

I hope you can see the sparkle in the photo.  I took the picture in full sunlight, hoping it would show up.  I really like all of Imagine Crafts products.. hard to say what is my favorite because they are all FABULOUS!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by today!  It's sunny and beautiful here in IA... yay!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to our collaboration with Imagine Crafts. I think most of you who have been following my postings for the last month or two have seen quite a variety of the Imagine Craft products in my posts.

Today's card is the last in my snowfall series featuring none other than the snowfall stamp. I stamped the snowfall with Memento summer sky ink. I free cut the snow drifts and sprayed them with frost shimmer spritz. I attached the drifts to the snowfall stamped image with foam tape. I added the embellishments of the wooden tree and the snow bling. The sentiment was stamped with memento LUXE teal zeal.

If you missed the previous snow fall posts, please check here and here. The variety of products from Imagine Crafts make each one of these cards unique and yet cohesive.

I hope you enjoyed this series using the snowfall and starfall stamps from Memory Box.

Welcome to the midpoint of our Memory Box + Imagine Crafts Blitz!  Jean Okimoto here this evening, with an inky, spritzy Christmas design for you.

If you've taken my classes at Impress, you'll know that I'm afflicted with Spritzophobia.  I love the look of spritzes, but am seriously intimidated by the fear of overspraying.  Not a problem today - Imagine Crafts Fireworks Spritzes and Sheer Shimmer Spritzes make it easy - even for me!

We're using some of my favorite products for this project - like the versatile Craft Mat, which minimizes clean-up and is a great, cushion-y surface for stamping and stenciling.  I've had mine for quite a while, and it cleans up easily with a damp washcloth.  They're available at Impress.

Memory Box Products

  • Wish Collage Stamp C1941
  • Drip Rings Designer Stencil 88582
  • Mini Heart Collection  Die 98763
  • Bubblegum Moroccan Signature Print
  • Parchment Cardstock

Imagine Crafts Products

  • Daubers
  • Craft Mat
  • Fireworks Spritz – Lilac Posies, Tangelo
  • Sheer Shimmer Spritz – Gold
  • Memento Luxe Pigment Inkpads – Espresso Truffle, Rose Bud, Dandelion, Pear Tart, Olive Grove
  • Delicate Golden Glitz Inkpad
  • Handcut Monterey Pine – Mitten, Tree and Star (6pk, 2 of each)

P1210706

Place watercolor paper (smoother side-up) on the Craft Mat and spritz it with Lilac Posies, Tangelo and Gold.  Airdry it for a few minutes, then heat-set.  Stamp Wish Collage with Espresso Truffle and heat-set it.

P1210728

Stencil some of the rings and spots from Drip Rings onto the background with Golden Glitz and heat-set it.

P1210715
Ink the Monterey Pine star with Dandelion.  Ink the mitten with Rose Bud.  Spread some Pear Tart on the Craft Mat and blend a tiny (very tiny!) amount of Olive Grove into it.  Ink the tree with the blended inks.  Heat-set the pieces.  Dot some craft glue on the back of the pieces and let it set up for a minute, then attach them to the background.

“Handcut” Monterey Pine  doesn’t just sound cool and DIY-ish.  Laser-cutting would create sealed edges, which would resist the inks.  The handcut edges are porous – and absorb the Memento Luxe inks for a beautiful, finished look for your craft projects.

Attach the background to a top-folded A2 card of Parchment Cardstock.  Attach the Monterey Pine pieces with craft glue.  Attach dark pink sequins. The card's weight and thickness will require additional postage and special handling - but I think it'll be a very special keepsake card for someone on your list this year.

Thanks for stopping by – hope you’re enjoying our partnered company blitz and have discovered some creative ways to combine our great products on your holiday cards.  Be sure to join us again tomorrow - Marnie and Jenny have some special projects to share with you!

Silvery Snowflakes

We are continuing on our week of the Memory Box/Imagine Crafts Blitz.  Marnie here to share a Silvery Snowy Card with you.

I love using the stencils for perfect backgrounds.  Who needs patterned paper when we have all of these amazing stencils and so many techniques and amazing products to create fun affects.

First I've created a snowy background using the Winter - Snowflake Lace Stencil 88576 and some black paper.  I sponged Memento Luxe Wedding Dress over the stencil then sprinkled on Imagine Crafts Sparkle Embossing Powder.

The entire piece was heat set.   And OH MY does it sparkle.  It is very hard to convey in a photo.

Next on another sheet of black I stamped the Forest Pine G2016 stamp in Delicata Sivlery Shimmer Ink and added Imagine Crafts Silver Embossing Powder.

The entire piece was cut down to size and lastly I used the Sheer Shimmer Spritzer in Frost to add dots by taking the pump out of the bottle and dropping the dots one by one from the tube.  Once these dried they SHIMMER and SHINE so much!

The card base is a Dove Gray Card and to set the tree off I used a mat of Silver Mirror Cardstock.

I hope you like it!  The Silvery Glittery Mix makes me whistful for the sparkle of the first snowfall.  Which apparently is a possibility for Halloween night here.

Holiday Snowfall

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I'm sharing a another wintery card with you today.  Thanks to the wonderful products from Imagine Crafts I can depict an icy pine tree, snow falling from the sky, a bright and shiny star as well as a snowy hill for the cabin.

IMG_7711

Here's how I created these "special effects"...

For the snow fall I sprayed "irRESISTible texture spray" in white (wedding dress) onto a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of clear acetate, then set aside to air dry.

The Imagine Crafts blue craft mat you see in the photos is a fantastic work surface.  You can heat, spray, ink, and glue on it and it cleans up like a dream. It's also a non-skid surface--so handy!

IMG_7716

On a second piece of clear acetate I dabbed Staz-On "Cotton White" ink using a segment of Ink-blushers (sponges) onto the lower area. (figure 1)

IMG_7708
Figure 1

To form the snowy landscape I "erased" areas of the ink using the dauber topped Staz-On ink cleaner. It removed the ink and left the acetate clean.  Presto!  (figure 2)

IMG_7710
Figure 2

Once both layers of acetate are dry, adhere the snowy slope piece on top of the falling snow piece of acetate.

The "icy" look on the pine was created by heat embossing Iridescent powder all over the cut and colored die cut.  I added a second coat of Versamark ink and powder to give it an extra thick and shiny effect.

IMG_7712

The shining star was also embossed twice.  Two coats of silver embossing powder really makes the star stand out.  The Merry and Bright sentiment was stamped in Black Cherry Staz-On ink.

IMG_7714

I hope you are enjoying this week's blog posts using both Memory Box and Imagine Crafts products.  Have you found a favorite technique or special effect to try out?  I know, there's so many fantastic products from both companies.

Happy Thursday!

Snow Globe Joy in the Woods

Welcome to Fantastic Day Five of the Memory Box-Imagine Crafts blog blitz!

If you recall, we Design Team members were each sent a box of goodies from the terrific people at Imagine Crafts, and I've been playing with mine regularly. My favorite inks thus far are the Encore Ultimate Metallics and the Delicata pads. The only thing I can complain about is that I can't capture their incredible richness in a photograph (but I suspect that speaks to my mediocre photography skills and not the products - lol).

I'm also IN LOVE with their Sheer Shimmer Spritzers. I have trouble with spritzers and sprays - I just seem to leave globs of product instead of the delicate spray I envy so much on others' cards. Well, shut the front door, sports fans, because even I can get a sweet sheer shimmery spray (with NO globs) from these babies!

I tried a variety of lighting but wasn't able to fully capture the beautiful and subtle sparkle of the inks and sprays; however, photo number two may provide a better look at the depth of the ink colors:

It's a Pink Christmas

Happy Halloween to those who celebrate.  So of course I came up with a Christmas card for you today:)  The design team has been playing with some of the awesome products from Imagine Crafts and show you some really cool techniques throughout the week.  I'm hope you've been able to find some inspiration.

Pink christmas

I love to do non-traditional colors for Christmas so I pulled out the Radiant Neon Electric Pink pigment ink from Imagine Crafts along with the clear embossing powder and Creative medium.

Pink christmas 2

The Memory Box products used were:

Frosted Christmas Trio

Frosted Spruce Tree

Splatter Stencil

Merry Christmas Combo stamp

The background was created with the the Electric Pink pigment ink, Splatter stencil and clear embossing powder.  Apply the ink directly to the stencil; place the cardstock on the inked up side of the stencil and run stencil and cardstock through the die cutting machine.  I have a Big Shot and used this sandwich: Tab 1, acrylic plate, stencil (inked side up), cardstock, silicone rubber mat and then the black impression plate.  This also allows the stencil to be used be embossed on the cardstock as well.

Cover cardstock with clear embossing powder and heat set.

I used a paintbrush and applied the Creative Medium to the Frosted Christmas Trio and then added fine glitter for a little bit more shimmer and sparkle.

Pink christmas 3

Thanks for stopping by today and hope your Halloween is spooky and your weekend wonderful.

A Final Card with Imagine Crafts

IMG_0550

I hope you have enjoyed this week of projects featuring Memory Box and Imagine Crafts products.  I am a huge fan of Imagine Crafts products, especially VersaFine ink pads.  It is my "go to" inkpad.

For my card today, I wanted to show you their Fireworks sprays.  Fireworks are water-based and acid free, coordinate with Memento Inks, and add the most amazing shimmer to your projects.  I decided to do something a little bit different than using them as sprays.  Instead, I sprayed them onto a palette so that I could use them as watercolor paints.  I used Summer Sky, Bahama Blue, and Paris Dusk:

IMG_0543

I used some 140Lb watercolor paper and wet it with a paint brush and water:

IMG_0544

I added all three colors to the card.  I ended up with three distinct bands of color:

IMG_0547

I added a bit more water between the colors to blend them, and I also mixed the colors with each other on the palette so that I would have some transition between the three colors:

IMG_0548

It is always hard to take picture of metallic or shimmery items, but I am going to try.  When the Firework Sprays dry, they have a lovely sheen to them that looks opalescent to me.  It is truly gorgeous:

IMG_0553

And the bottom of the card...

IMG_0556

As I mentioned, the sprays coordinate with the Memento inkpads, so I used my Paris Dusk Memento pad to coordinate with the Paris Dusk spray I used at the top of the card.

days until Christmas! Every year I think I'm going to be organized and ready since of course each year Christmas falls on the exact same date:)  I've yet to meet my goals of organization and readiness.

Redgrey christmas

I love love love the look of mirrored paper but oh my is it difficult to photograph well enough to capture the richness and overall prettiness of the paper and the design.

I used the stencil Cursive Merry and embossed the red paper to add a subtle texture.  The die Gleaming Bells takes center stage.  I used silver paper and cut the die Gleaming Bells  ribbon two additional times to create more volume for the top portion of the bell. The sentiment Merry Christmas combo was stamped with black Stazon onto the same silver paper.

Redgrey christmas2

This picture shows the embossing that was done with the stencil.  Thanks for swinging by today, and I hope everyone has a fantabulous day and found some extra sleep or craft time with the wonderful extra hour!

Good Morning!  Marnie here with a quick elegant Thank You Card.  Today I have used the Lanthenay Stencil and some Viva Decor 3D Stamp Paint Walnut Brown Metalic and Gold onto black cardstock to create my background.  Once that was dry add the Alessandria Tree from Gold Cardstock to the card (don't forget to trim the trunk so it doesn't show up in your greeting).  The cut and layer the Grand Thank You over the top from Copper Cardstock.  Don't you just love all the mixed metals?  Since there are so much going on I layered the entire piece onto an A2 Kraft Card.

A Trio of Holiday Tags

 Good Morning Crafty Friends!

We're creating tags today...these would be ideal for presenting a gift card--just add a paper pocket on the reverse side along with your written message...OR, give them as your Holiday card that could be hung on the Christmas tree.  Either way, they're just plain fun to make and receive.

Tag Trio-Jenny Griffiths

All three tags were created with a #8 kraft tag base.

Snow Globe Tag-Jenny Griffiths

These holiday hats have always been one of my favorite Memory Box dies.  By cutting them from different colored paper you can give them extra pizzaz-- and why not show them swirling inside the snow globe?

It's a good idea to stamp the Snowfall stamp on plain white cardstock then line up the snow globe circle die over the stamped image.  (Ask me how I know that!)  After a few unsuccessful attempts to get a perfect impression on the die cut snow globe I figured that out.

This is a fun tag that doesn't take much time and as you can see, I cut the Frosty Border die into a few segments and added them here and there on the tag with gemstones added for sparkle.

98171 Frosty Border

98736 Holiday Hats

Now for the Ornament Tag...

Ornament Tag-Jenny Griffiths

This is also a pretty quick tag to make.  I sometimes forget about using the Library Alphabet Tags but they come in very handy when you need small letters and since we're making tags today--It's fitting! The Star Garland is really very versatile--here I colored the stars yellow and cut the garland into sizes that would drape across the tag.

98817 Library Alpha Tags

And finally, the Bundled Penguin Tag... this little guy "speaks to me".  He looks a little chilly and should head inside pretty soon...that snow is really coming down!  I tore off the corner of the the Bluebird Distressed Dots paper and added a piece of Licorice Dot paper behind it.  I like a torn look sometimes, especially when the paper has a white core like all the Memory Box papers.  Again, clear gemstones were added to the snowflakes---of course!Penguin Tag-Jenny Griffiths

The gathered blooms series

October is past and the weather is getting really chilly now. You can sense winter in the air. The leaves are falling quickly and there has been frost on the windows. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I have so much to be thankful for. I am especially grateful for the wonderful stamps that Memory Box is making.

Gathered blooms was on the top of my list to get. I knew I was saving it for Thanksgiving cards. This month I will be focusing on this stamp and showing you a variety ways of using it.

Today, I am channeling my best Dave Brethauer and keeping the cards simple and colored. I stamped the blooms in Memento expresso truffle and watercolored the first card, the second stamped on kraft paper I colored with copic markers.

IMG_1266

To showcase the sentiment I stamped and embossed with gold. I embellished the card with some twine and this CAS card was complete.

IMG_1283

IMG_1284

I hope if Dave sees these cards he is smiling and thinking I taught this girl well!

Stay tune for the second card in my "gathered blooms" series.

Snowy Tree Scene...

Holly Bouquet Tag

Last weekend I made snowy a Holly Bouquet tag while it was snowing outside--our first major snowstorm of the season here in Maine.  I started by die cutting HOLLY BOUQUET 98999 several times in red and green cardstocks.  I adhered the darker Dill base image to a piece of white cardstock and added in brighter green leaves and red berries.  I then die cut a tag but I could have used a pre-made shipping tag.

The next thing I did was to sponge some ink around the edges of the tag using a Jumbo Dauber and Brilliance Gamma Green Archival Ink, both from Imagine Crafts.

Then I punched an oval from a scrap of green cardstock and used it as a mask to cover the Holly Bouquet...

before spritzing the tag with Imagine Crafts' IrRESISTible Wedding Dress (white) Colored Texture Spray.  SNOW!!!

And here is the finished tag:

I know I will make more of these cute tags!  Christmas will be here before we know it...and I've got a lot of cards and tags to make!

Happy Crafting!

PamSparksClairmontOrnaments700

Hello everyone!  Pam here with a CAS card from the class @ the Scrapbooking Studio last Saturday, using  the Clairmont Ornaments die I die cut in metallic gold and white glitter cardstock and layered it all together on a Sapphire A2 notecard.

The Merry and Bright Combo stamp is embossed with gold embossing powder on a strip of vellum.

A few pearls for the berries in the center of the holly and it's ready to mail!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy stamping!
